  • Where do the courses take place?
    The courses will take place at various venues across Bexley over the next 2 years (until September 2026). Click on 'Book Courses' in the menu to find out where and when they take place. If you have a venue and would like us to run a club, please contact eatwellbexley@gcda.org.uk
  • Are they accessible to people in wheelchairs?
    We will always endeavour to ensure the venues are accessible to everyone as we want to be as inclusive as possible. However, do contact us if you have any additional needs on eatwellbexley@gcda.org.uk
  • I am a carer. Can I bring the person I care for?
    Yes, we welcome everyone to our cookery clubs. However, we do ask that you, as the carer, also join the club and support the person you are bringing. Please email us at eatwellbexley@gcda.org.uk to find out more
  • Is there a charge for the courses?
    No, the courses are run by GCDA, funded by Bexley Council and are free to participants. You will be asked to bring an apron and tupperware container to take home any leftovers.
  • How will you use my data?
    We collect your data for a number of reasons including monitoring and evaluating the service. Because the courses are funded by the London Borough of Bexley, we also share data with them. If you want to know more about how we use your data, please email livia@gcda.org.uk
  • How can I give feedback about the course or trainer?
    We're always open to receiving feedback, both good and bad! We love to hear whether you enjoyed the course, but if you didn't we need to know to help us improve! You can send feedback back to eatwellbexley@gcda.org.uk or call 0208 2694887.
  • What do I do if I have a safeguarding concern?
    Our priority is to keep our learners safe. If you have any concerns about anything at all, please contact the head of the contract - livia@gcda.org.uk or call 0208 2694887 Alternatively you can contact our Safeguarding Officer Claire Pritchard on claire@gcda.org.uk If you see something that could cause an accident tell a member of staff straight away
  • Do I need to bring anything for the cooking courses?
    The cooking skills courses provide all the ingredients and equipment. You will need to bring an apron and a Tupperware or take away container to take away any leftover food.
  • How old do I have to be to attend the cookery clubs?
    You need to be 18 or older. If you are an adult, you can bring a child with you who is over the age of 12.
  • Who runs the cookery clubs?
    GCDA has a pool of excellent, experienced tutors all of whom have done training in how to run healthy eating cookery clubs. They are from the local communities and have much experience working across a wide range of groups.
