Course Description

This 7-week THEORY BASED COURSE is an Open College Network accredited Level 2 course. THIS IS NOT A COOKERY CLUB. This course teaches the knowledge and skills needed to run successful cookery clubs in their communities. Over seven weeks, participants will learn healthy eating messages and how to teach these in the community. These include what a balanced diet looks like, the impact of healthy eating on overall health, and understanding food labels. They will also gain practical experience in planning, delivering, and managing engaging and interactive cookery sessions, considering budgeting, health and safety, and inclusive approaches. By the end of the course, learners will have the confidence and resources to set up and run their own community cookery clubs, empowering others to make healthier food choices. PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS NOT A COOKERY CLUB. THIS IS A THEORY BASED COURSE THAT TEACHES YOU HOW TO RUN A COOKERY CLUB IN THE COMMUNITY.
